We will be performing a database upgrade on October 17, 2026, between 7:00 AM ET and 12:00 PM ET. In order to prepare for the upgrade, we will also be making one minor change on Friday, October 16, 2026 around 7:00 am ET. The change on Friday will result in a few minutes (2-3) of downtime. Then, when we begin the upgrade on Saturday, October 17, 2026, here is what you can expect:
- Service Availability: while the overall maintenance window is 5 hours, we expect actual downtime to be less than 5 minutes.
- Email Delivery: during any interruption, service access and email delivery may be delayed, but no emails will be lost.
If we encounter unexpected issues that extend the downtime or maintenance window, we will keep you updated. We will also report back once the upgrade is complete. Thank you for your patience as we work to keep our systems optimized and secure.

Phase 1 of the upgrade is now complete. We will continue the upgrade tomorrow morning between 7 am ET and 12 pm ET as planned.

The database maintenance upgrade is now complete. We will continue to monitor performance and activity related to the upgrade over the next 1-2 weeks.
The upgrade went smoothly, but from about 10:14 am ET to about 10:59 am ET, we did have to work through some errors from the upgrade. Those issues have all been resolved. If you had any issues during that time logging in or accessing mail (or shortly therefter as we were correcting the errors), we apologize for the disruption. For most users, you should not have noticed much.
